Abstract/Summary:
Vietnam Ruan Dynasty(1802-1945)experienced a gradual transition from an ancient independent feudal society to a modern colonial society.As an elementary stage of traditional Confucian education in Ruan Dynasty,Children’s Englighhtenment Education of Ruan Dynasty,with the advancement of the French colonial rule,took the reform of the imperial examination system as the main line,and took the conversion of Chinese,Nom,Latin Quoc Ngu,and French character as clues.It has undergone three stages of transformation: tradition(1802-1884),transition(1885-1919),and assimilation(1917-1945).In the traditional period,the Children’s enlightment Education took the imperial examination system as the central axis,the official and private school as the soil,and Chinese and Nom characters as the carrier.It was divided into three stages: the outset,advance and consolidation and the learning content was mostly Confucian classics.During this period,as a conversion text of Chinese character,Nom character reflected the different characteristics of " written and spoken language " of the Children’s Englightment Education in Vietnam.During the French-Vietnamese period(1885-1945),the forced ―assimilation‖ under colonial rule made traditional Children’s Enlightment Education to be improved through the imperial examination system(1906-1919),with two grades of public preschool and elementary school,accompanied by The ―selected students‖ and ―lessons student‖ diplomas are gradually transitioning to a new education system.During this period,Chinese character carried social,historical,and humanistic knowledge with a certain degree of new learning and modern general education,and also carried the category of old learning knowledge in transition.Latin Quoc Ngu character,as a transition from Chinese character to French,also play a special role in educational reform.During the assimilation period,the French colonial authorities used the ―General Regulations on Learning and Administration‖ as the education law,and gradually formed a unified French and Vietnamese primary education system in Vietnam.And with French as the language carrier,and it started to shape the obscurity education under colonial expansion.Vietnam’s traditional Confucian basic education was destroyed by uprooting,while the corresponding quality of primary education in France and Vietnam has not been really established.The failed colonial education reforms of the French rulers has plunged the Vietnamese people into a serious educational panic and cultural crisis.
