Exploring The Storytelling Of The Bottom-Person Documentary

A documentary is a record of real life.The documentary about the underlying characters reflects the concern of the creators of the documentary on the fate of the socially disadvantaged groups.The personal fate of the bottom characters is the epitome of the changes of the times and can reflect specific social problems and show their face.It has great shooting value for the rebellious spirit and strong vitality of the unjust fate.The storytelling narrative method is based on the principle of authenticity of the documentary.Based on this,the storytelling method is used to connect daily life,pay attention to details and event plots,and change the past by setting suspense and displaying conflicts.The flat and straightforward monotonous narrative style highlights the character of the characters,and enhances the storyliness and interest of the documentary content.The story-based narrative style has become a common way to build the content structure of the underlying documentary.At present,there are not many literatures on the research of documentary narrative narrative,which indicates that there is still much research space.This article combines the author ’s personal graduation work "The Families in the Mountain",with two rural families in Sheng’an Village,Datang Town,Pingtang County,Guizhou Province as the shooting objects.Through their stories,it shows that in the process of social transformation,some ethnic minority backward areas exist.Patriarchism,economic poverty,lack of family education,domestic violence and other issues,and reflects the stubborn will of the working people at the bottom when facing life difficulties.This article analyzes the use of story-based narrative methods in the process of documentary film creation from the perspectives of theme selection,character selection,plot selection,sound use,and editing skills.It reflects on the issues that arise during the creative process,and does not focus on story-based expression.,I hope to provide effective experience for the creation of the same type of documentary.
