| Superrealism is a genre of art which grew and developed in the United States between the 1960 s and 1970 s.It was introduced to China in the 1980 s.Since then,it has been gradually localized and characterized through the practice and transformation of Chinese artists.This paper collects and organizes resources with the employment of the documentary research method,case study method,and interview method and will discuss the topic from three aspects.On the first hand,it discusses the reasons for the emergence of American Superrealism and its subsequent development,sorts out the art schools related to American Superrealism from 1920 s to 1960 s,and focuses on the influence of Precision,Pop Art and Concept Art on Superrealism.The second part is about the entry of Superrealism into China.Afterwards,the unique artistic response produced by the combination of Chinese culture is discussed with example from artists Chen Anjian and Shi Chong,in order to better understand and analyze the unique artistic charm of Superrealism with concept and technology as the core.I would summarize and discuss the unique spiritual connotation of China’s Superrealism oil paintings and the sustainability of its development in China.In the last part,I will illustrate the influence and significance of Superrealism on my artistic creation by referencing my graduation work.Under the background of the image era,visual art has gain increasing advantage in its development in.Images,as a quick medium,has integrated into people’s daily communication and are closely and inseparably linked to people’s lives.The objective reproduction of photographs in superrealism oil paintings has made it easier for the audience to establish a connection with the material forms in the images,and has also provided the viewer’s with a wider space for interpretation.The writer aims to employ the painting techniques having learned in this major and create by taking the element of traditional costume as a theme in the form of super-realist oil painting.The final presentation of the work is able to provoke the audience’s attention towards traditional culture and thoughts towards the relationship between past and present to a greater extent. |
