Study On Zhu Xi’s Buddhist Poetry

Reading Zhu xi’s poetry collection,there are a large number of Buddhist poems,both Buddhist texts,Buddhist images,and Buddhist realm,all point to Zhu xi’s extraordinary buddhist attains.In fact,growing up in the historical context and discourse background of the fusion of three religions and the prevalence of Buddhism and Zen in the Song dynasty,Zhu xi was deeply influenced by Buddhism and Zen thoughts.This paper only studies one vein of Zhu xi’s poetry involving Buddhism and Zen,which belongs to "case study" in case study.The reason for this choice is the following considerations.Firstly,some scholars have made a detailed analysis and research on Zhu xi’s poetry,art,content and thought.Secondly,some scholars have explained Zhu xi’s thoughts of Zen,Neo-confucianism and literature to some extent,but failed to go into details,which leaves room for the discussion of this paper.Third,from the perspective of investigation,the selection of case study can not only avoid the "dragonfly" type of generalities,but also can be a good way to "see the big".Based on these three considerations,the topic of this paper is selected as "study on zhu xi’s buddhist poetry",focusing on the origin of buddhist thoughts and the realm of Zen in Zhu xi’s poetry.The study of Zhu xi’s buddhist poetry is mainly carried out from the following three aspects: first,to clarify his Buddhist poetry works,and explore the origin of his Buddhist thoughts;Secondly,the mutual verification of poetic history confirms the internal evolution of his Buddhist Neo-confucianism;Thirdly,this paper analyzes the philosophical interest and Zen environment of Buddhist poetry,and shows the complexity of his thoughts and emotions.
