| The imperial examinations were an important way for the scholars to flow upwards and realized their political ideals.At the same time,the imperial examinations were also an important measure for the selection of talents by the imperial power,reflecting the tendency of political authority.From Gaozong to Lizong in the Southern Song Dynasty,Neo-Confucianism gradually became the content of imperial examinations and one of the criteria for the admission.The change of the Imperial Examinations’ attitude towards the Neo-Confucianism was the epitome of the change of the imperial court’s attitude towards the Neo-Confucianism.Wenzhou,as an important district for both imperial examinations and Neo-Confucianism during the Southern Song Dynasty,was particularly typical.At present,the research focuses on the influence of the Neo-Confucianism on the imperial examinations in exploring the interaction between the imperial examinations and the Neo-Confucianism.However,this article explores the impact of the imperial examinations on the Neo-Confucianism and the results after the change of the Neo-Confucianism in Wenzhou,in order to explore the status of the changing Neo-Confucianism in the intellectual history.This article is divided into three parts,discussing the process of the Neo-Confucianism becoming the content of the imperial examinations,and changing under the influence of the imperial examinations.The first part discusses the imperial examination accepted Neo-Confucianism.After the intervention of Neo-Confucianism in the imperial examinations,the literati carried out education related to the imperial examinations,and the Wenzhou literati got outstanding results in the imperial examinations.The second part analyzes the changes of Neo-Confucianism after the imperial examination.After the Neo-Confucianism was used in test,a utilitarian tendency appeared.In addition,the Neo-Confucianism became main theme but literati wrote in Zhizhai’s writing rule,which leads to a split the content of and the form.Finally,the Neo-Confucianism and local scholarship began to merge itself with the Yongjia School.Neo-Confucianism integrated and absorbed some of the Yongjia School,which deviated from the Neo-Confucianism’ s spirit.The third part discusses the results of the influence of the imperial examinations.The change of Neo-Confucianism led it to the internal dilemma.The literati reflected on the dilemma and propose a series of reform measures.These measures led to the decline of the Yongjia School.The integration of Neo-Confucianism and the Yongjia School was the epitome of the "one morality" process of the Song Dynasty.The development of Neo-Confucianism had strengthened the "one morality,one customs".It centered on the Han civilization,which had far-reaching significance. |
