Archaeological Study Of Fanchang Kiln

Bluish white porcelain,as one of the most important products of ancient Chinese porcelain since Song and Yuan Dynasties,has been favored by all social strata since its emergence in early phase because of its quiet and elegant characteristics.Fanchang Kiln,as a kiln site mainly producing bluish white porcelain,is adjacent to the main production area of bluish white porcelain in Jingdezhen,Jiangxi Province.For a long time,the academic circles have long lacked objective understanding of its historical position and production situation.With the continuous development of systematic archaeological excavation,as a kiln with few literature records,low popularity and newly discovered,the reunderstanding of the specific situation of Fanchang kiln and the preliminary analysis of related issues are worth exploring.In this paper,the general characteristics of Fanchang Kiln,the technical exchange of kiln industry and the construction of bluish white porcelain culture circle are analyzed and studied in five chapters.The first chapter elaborates the writing significance and background of this paper,and the central concept of this paper is the concept of bluish white porcelain.Then I list the archaeological excavation of Fanchang Kiln and the relevant researches of predecessors and elaborates the important and difficult points in the current academic discussion.The second chapter is a re-understanding of the general characteristics of Fanchang kiln site.Firstly,Fanchang kiln was analyzed from the perspective of time and space.Secondly,the relics were classified into different types according to the unearthed materials.The age of kiln site is inferred by the unearthed materials,and the porcelain making technology is introduced.The third chapter mainly discusses the relationship between Fanchang kiln and the surrounding kiln field.It includes the interaction between Fanchang kiln and the kiln sites in the north and south,and the possible Fanchang kiln system under its influence.Finally,the characteristics and reasons of the rise and decline of Fanchang kiln are discussed.The fourth chapter puts forward a new concept,that is,to construct the bluish white porcelain culture circle.In this chapter,the concept of the bluish white porcelain culture circle is introduced firstly,then discusses the background and significance of the construction,analyzes the feasibility and necessity of constructing,finally determines the members of the blue-white porcelain culture circle.
