Discussion On The Confucian Ats Idea Of Xu Fuguan From Chinese Art Spirit

As a representative of Neo-Confucianism in Hong Kong and Taiwan,Xu Fuguan has abundant writings in all his life and made remarkable achievements in philosophy,politics,art,literature,etc.Chinese Art Spirit was produced in the culture clash of enlightenment and salvation,tradition and modernity,deconstruction and reconstruction in the 20 th century,which not only embodies Xu Fuguan’s discussion on Confucian artistic spirit,but also contains his intense introspection on the crisis of the times.Based on this work,combined with the historical background of Xu Fuguan,life experiences and cultural context,this paper combs and explains Xu Fuguan’s Confucian arts idea to reveal the theoretic value of Xu Fuguan’s art thought in in modern times.In addition to the conclusion,the paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces the basic situation of the study object,the current status of the researches on Chinese Art Spirit at home and abroad,as well as the research significance,methods and innovation points of this paper.The second chapter mainly studies the cultural background of the work Chinese Art Spirit by Xu Fuguan.In the 1960s,the Taiwan authorities strictly controlled the propaganda of literature and art,cut off the literary tradition,and raises high "the literature and art of war",resulting in the phenomenon of "vertical cultural fault" in the literary and art circles.Following the rise of western modern art in Taiwan,the irrational values of "anti tradition" and "anti morality" are highly sought after by people in Taiwan’s literary and art circles.And the " debate of modern painting" with Liu Guosong is the immediate cause of Xu Fuguan’s Chinese Art Spirit.The third chapter mainly studies Xu Fuguan’s interpretation of Confucian art.Xu Fuguan’s new thinking on the "artistic spirit" of Confucius firstly lies in his emphasis on the importance of "Yue" and his proposal of a new type of " Relationship of Yue and Li " in which "Yue" is better than "Li".And it reveals the artistic spirit of music found by Confucius.Xu Fuguan’s new interpretation of the essence of Confucian art is mainly based on the root of life to analyze the relationship between beauty and goodness and the value orientation of art.The fourth chapter mainly studies Xu Fuguan’s interpretation of the theory of Confucian art function.On the basis of the Theory of Mind and Nature,Xu Fuguan,on the one hand,emphasized the education function of music education on the mind,on the other hand,pointed out the effect of music on personality cultivation,which was mainly embodied in the fusion of emotion and conscience and the manifestation of the main body’s benevolence.On this basis,it analyzes the fundamental cause of Xu Fuguan’s clue of unique interpretation.
