| This thesis focuses on the integration between the beauty and the kindness of Xu Fuguan’s Chinese artistic spirit, which is regarded as a complete life and represented by the Confucian article spirit. By the method of life beauty and based on the human nature, the article tries to restore the nature of Xu Fuguan’s Chinese artistic spirit and explain the implication of the faith, “Be artistic for life”.In addition to the introduction, this paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the background and thought foundation which result in Xu Fuguan’s Chinese artistic spirit. In the aspect of the “Mind nature theory”, Xu profoundly rethinks the Chinese Artistic Spirit and explores the modern menings, comparing with the Western Modern Artist. Rooted in the Chinese traditional “Culture of Heart” and based on the Confucian artistic spirit, He explains the Chinese Artistic Spirit in the way of life beauty.The second chapter is to analyze the Confucian artistic spirit in the item of the integration between the beauty and the kindness. There indeed exists kindness in the benevolence under the condition that what is the key of the Confucian artistic spirit is the benevolence, which results in the integration between the beauty and the kindness. As is said, the integration between the beauty and the kindness are divided into two items. On one hand, the normal and the art are merged in the highest realm, relying on the peace of the music. On the other hand, the music is inserted in the heart and brought out from the essence of life, ascended by the normal, and became to the in integration between the art and the kindness in the end.The third Chapter continues to analyze the integration between the beauty and the kindness not in the Confucian but in the Taoism. Xu gets the final conclusion that the Zhuang Zhou’s Art Spirit is to “be artistic for life”, which is regarded as containing of the social significance and pursing the greatest beauty where everyone has their own freedom. In the same time, the spirit is considered as possessing “the sense of crisis”, so the beauty of art and kindness of the normal are combined to one. Furthermore, the spirit is communicated with the all in the world in pursuit of enjoying the beauty, reflecting the pure art which is seen as the integration between the highest artistic spirit and the highest normal spirit.In the process of the analysis of the artistic spirit, this paper is a champion for digging out the connotation of the normal kindness, the responsibility and the transcendent, and attempt to understand how Xu explains the integration between the beauty and the kindness and differs the integration between Confucian and Taoism.In the fourth chapter, this paper puts stress on the significance and the faultiness of Xu’s Chinese Artistic Spirit Theory that restores the sense of pride for our own national culture, attaches importance to the life meaning and seeks the ideal personality, although there is some faultiness.In Xu’s opinion, the normal is the heart of the Chinese traditional culture because of which the West culture differs. Therefore, only in the aspect of beauty and kindness can the Xu’s art thought be discovered. Furthermore, what the paper purpose is to advocate everyone to put their normal spirit power to the real world, try to solve the human crisis, which is referred to the true meaning of the faith, “Be artistic for life”!... |
