Li Chaoshi has a pivotal position in the history of Chinese modern and contemporary painting.He has devoted his life to the spread and development of pastel painting in China,studying the fusion of Chinese painting and Western painting.He has studied Chinese and Western paintings,and expanded with traditional Chinese painting.The expression space of pastel painting has created many representative works of the times.While actively creating,Li Chaoshi has made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese painting and art education.His rigorous teaching attitude and unique teaching thinking have deeply influenced the development and inheritance of Shandong painting.This article conducts research on Li Chaoshi from four parts.First,it introduces Li Chaoshi’s art experience,understands Li Chaoshi’s life,his way of studying,and his teaching experience.Through the analysis of these three parts,I have an overview of Li Chaoshi’s background and artistic career.More systematic and complete understanding.Secondly,the author explores the artistic characteristics of Li Chaoshi,and understands the causes of Li Chaoshi’s artistic style by analyzing the influence of different artistic characteristics on Li Chaoshi’s painting learning process,especially the influence of Chinese and Western art on his painting.Then,through interviews and investigations with some of Li Chaoshi’s students,the author explores and analyzes Li Chaoshi’s teaching methods and teaching concepts,as well as Li Chaoshi’s promotion and contribution to the development of mountain east-west painting.Finally,the author explores the influence of Li Chaoshi’s painting art and education through Li Chaoshi’s influence on his students and future generations of artists and the students’ artistic achievements.
