| In the development of polyphonic music,the Middle Ages was an important historical stage,which lasted from 5th century to 14 th century.At this time,the music is based on Gregorian chant,developed to Organon as the starting point of the form of multi-part polyphonic music,thus forming the Notre Dame de Paris as the representative of the creative group,these have strongly promoted the development of European medieval polyphonic music.The music culture of the Western Middle Ages originated from the rule of the church,which is the transition period from single music to multi-part music,and also the historical process of the continuous development of multi-part music.Through the historical background of the formation of medieval music,the influence of Gregorian chant on medieval polyphonic music leads to the forms of polyphonic music such as Organum(Organum),Discantus(Discantus),Conductus(Conductus),and further studies the form,development course and creation techniques of medieval polyphonic music.The text of the paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the historical background of the development of Medieval polyphonic music;the second chapter explores the influence of Gregorian chant on the development of Medieval polyphonic music;the third chapter introduces the music form of Medieval polyphonic music,and analyzes the characteristics of various musical genres and the relationship between them;the fourth chapter analyzes the techniques of Medieval polyphonic music.Based on the classification of polyphonic techniques(contrasting polyphony,imitating polyphony),this paper explores the musical forms and creative techniques of polyphonic music in the Middle Ages.Through the study and analysis of the form of polyphonic music in the Middle Ages,this paper tries to accurately understand the early development of polyphonic music,form types,creative characteristics,and provide an important reference and basis for contemporary polyphonic music writing. |
