History will naturally take our sight to the Gregorian Chant of Roman Catholic in early Middle Ages that has been named as the’First Most Beautifull Flower’in the Western musical culture when nowadays we try to trace the root of Western music source. In fact, it has been widely known by the whole academic world that Gregorian Chant has had a huge devotion on providing an endless inspiration for Western musical culture that last thousand years. However, when we replace another method of thinking under the same condition of history we will find another church music have gained remarkable achievement as amazingly as Gregorian Chant called Byzantine Chant has not arouse enough attention due to various history reasons. This church music with unique Byzantine gene continuously affect promote and intervene the whole procession of the history of Western musical culture with its own way.It is focus on the extraordinary characteristic of Byzantine Chantin in this treatise. Appeal diverse angle in traditional point of view and hope it will have a deeply Understanding on Byzantine Chant and acquire more enlightenment on this way of thinking.
