An Analysis Of The Musical Characteristics And Playing Techniques Of Zheng Quartet “Lan”

"Lan" is a Guzheng quartet commissioned by young musician Zhang Meng in 2018."Blue" stands for beauty,reason,quietness and broadness,which implies purity,serenity and a hint of oriental color."Lan" as "blue",can be understood as the blues music,the composer insisted in the creation "the Chinese traditional music derivation or the variation thought writes the music work with the linear music thought and the multi-segment linear structure" the idea,this paper tries to use the traditional Chinese pentatonic style and the Western Blues Scale to compose a Guzheng ensemble with the flavor of the Times.Based on the description of the artistic features of the Zheng work blue,this paper conducted an interview with the composer to gain a deeper understanding of his writing style and the characteristics of the music style,through the analysis of the whole structure of the work,such as the background of music creation,the characteristics of the times,the characteristics of creation,the playing techniques and the artistic features of the piece of Zheng Music "blue",combined with the author’s own practical playing experience,in order to help the performer to be able to more deeply,the system grasps the music style and the four voice part ingenious coordination,better performance this piece’s artistic value.
