Robert Alexander Schumann is a composer and music critic who enjoys a high reputation in the world.He has produced a great deal of excellent music works in his life and has made great achievements in many music fields.His music creation not only promoted the development of music in the period of r omanticism,but also influenced the development of romantic music with its un ique musical spirit.The theme piano suite Papillons op.2,written by Schuman n in 1831,is one of the most representative works in his early music creation,and also a masterpiece of the musical genre “title Piano” in the history of m usic.This work consists of a prelude and twelve programmatic piano music,ea ch of which contains independent themes,but is closely related to each other as the plot develops.Based on this,this paper proceeds from the background of the creation of the Papillons op.2,and makes an in-depth analysis of the c haracteristics of this music.Then from the perspective of the piano players,the author combs out the playing techniques of the second-degree creation and ex plores the important value and significance of Papillons op.2 in the field of pi ano performing and music.
