Chen Yifei Oil Painting Art Research And My Creation Practice

Chen Yifei is a master who will surely be remembered in the history of Chinese oil painting.He ingeniously combined Eastern artistic connotation with Western technology.His works were often full of poetry.Western media praised him as a romantic realist.At that time,he was one of the most influential artists among overseas Chinese.The representative works of Mr.Chen Yifei included "Occupy the Presidential Palace","Pace","Mountain Wind" and so on.This essay is divided into two parts.The first part elaborates the author’s research on Mr.Chen Yifei.It focuses on two aspects.The first aspect is Mr.Chen’s growth experience and the historical background.The second aspect is Mr.Chen’s works.In the analysis of painting works,the author has carried out an in-depth discussion on the three painting elements of composition,shape and color.The graduation project is finally decided to focus on the students around the author.In the migrant worker series theme creation "Building a New Era of Dreams",the author borrowed from Mr.Chen Yifei’s oil painting composition techniques,color language and basic modeling methods,and was also deeply influenced by Mr.Chen in the treatment of the atmosphere of the picture.The contrast with the background and the expression of the brushstroke texture make the whole picture form a specific stage atmosphere,effectively injecting romantic feelings into common scenes in life.These works are not only influenced by Mr.Chen Yifei’s oil paintings,but also different from Mr.Chen Yifei’s paintings.The main research purpose is to understand Mr.Chen Yifei’s pursuit of art and integrate it into the author’s self-creation practice.
