Mathematical logic intelligence refers to the ability of individuals to discover the connections between various things,and to understand,analyze,synthesize,conclude,reason and calculate the logical relationships between things,such as the causes and effects,category attributes and contrast.Jie-qi Chen,Mr Miller(2015)think of mathematical logic intelligence can be divided into three major factors: solve the problem of logic,geometric reasoning and understanding of number and the quantity relationship,this theory is widely recognized psychological circles.At present,the methods of measuring children’s ability of solving logic problems and classification mainly include Raven’s color map reasoning test,and the way of classifying physical pictures and geometric figures.To measure children’s geometric reasoning ability,the methods of matching,identifying and naming geometrical figures are generally adopted.The measurement methods of children’s understanding ability of the relationship between number and quantity mainly include number singing,number object correspondence,quantity conservation,etc.Up to now,there are few tools to measure children’s mathematical logic intelligence in China.Even though some researchers have revised more mature measurement tools in foreign countries,they can not be fully applicable to Chinese due to cultural differences,which makes it difficult to further explore the development of children’s mathematical logic intelligence,and it is not conventient for parents and preschool teachers to timely understand the development level of children’s mathematical logic intelligence.The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical logic intelligence measurement tool for children aged 3 to 6 years old that reflects Chinese cultural background.In order to further explore the individual differences of children’s mathematical logic intelligence,on the basis of using self-designed measurement tools,the psychological variables closely related to mathematical logic intelligence,such as execution function,approximate number system and so on,were introduced to further investigate the development level,characteristics and influencing factors of children’s mathematical logic intelligence.This research consists of two parts: one is the localization of the establishment of children’s mathematical logic intelligence measurement tools and psychological measurement standards.Combining with the previous research paradigm,a localized mathematical logic intelligence measurement tool for children aged 3 to 6 years was prepared according to the development characteristics of children’s cognitive ability.Project analysis,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,reliability and validity analysis were carried out on the measurement tool in turn by using statistical methods.The results show that the tools for children aged 3 to 6 are divided into three sub-tests: solve logic problems test,geometric reasoning test and understand quantitative relationships test.After item analysis and reliability and validity analysis,the measuring tools are in line with psychometrics standards.The second study uses mathematical logic intelligence test,day and night test,and panamath point comparison task,test children’s mathematical logic intelligence level,level of execution function and approximate number system,aimed at young children study in mathematical logic intelligence,execution function and approximate number system of gender difference and age differences,and on this basis,to explore children’s execution function is present between the approximate number system and mathematical logic intelligence mediation mechanism.The results showed that the gender differences in mathematical logic intelligence,field approximate number system and execution function of children aged 3-6 years were not significant,and the mathematical logic intelligence,field approximate number system and execution function of children aged 3-6 years were gradually improved with the increase of age.Execution function has a significant direct effect on mathematical logic intelligence in children aged 3-6 years,and field approximate number system plays a part in mediating between execution function and mathematical logic intelligence.The mathematical logic intelligence measuring tool for children aged 3~6 compiled by this research institute can measure children’s mathematical logic intelligence level scientifically and effectively.Given the field approximate number system and execution function for mathematical logic intelligence of individual differences has important role in explanation,this remind all preschool education workers and parents,through targeted methods or strategies,the approximate number system in children’s games to cultivate and improve the ability of,can effectively improve the mathematical logic intelligence of children.
