Research On The Development Of Chinese Mainland Root-seeking Movies In The New Period

In the context of economic globalization,China’s rapid urbanization,the face of the country is undergoing earth-shaking changes.On the one hand,the rapid development of the social background has led to rapid economic growth,people’s material living standards have been effectively improved,on the other hand,it has also made everyone’s hometown changes.The traditional "roots" closely linked to traditional areas are being dismantled,leaving many people as rootless groups unable to return to their hometowns.Faced with the tension between modernity and tradition,lots of the artistic creators are seeking for a spiritual home to settle their minds in their own ways.At present,many independent directors pay attention to the changes in their hometown and choose to go back to their hometown to shoot movies.There is an obvious trend of seeking roots.In this paper,root-seeking films from the new period to the present are divided into stages according to their development characteristics,so as to further expand the research on root-seeking films and help the diversified development of film studies in mainland China.This thesis mainly adopts the literature reading method,case method,discourse analysis and other research methods,the choice of the eighty s have roots colorific mainland film as the research sample,from the roots thought germination,the roots of the climax of the film,the decline of roots film and the influence of the new roots surges analyze four aspects according to the time development,A systematic study of the development and evolution of root-seeking films.This paper consists of an introduction,five chapters of the text and the remainder.The introduction part of the paper gives a preliminary overview of the root-seeking trend of thought and root-seeking film from four aspects:the background and significance of the topic,the analysis of the research status,the research purpose,the research method and the structure.The first chapter introduces the historical background of the emergence of the root-seeking fever and briefly explains that the root-seeking fever has gradually swept the art world.The second chapter describes the background,reason and characteristics of the root-seeking film in this period.The third chapter analyzes the signs and causes of the root-seeking films in the high-tide period,and finds the characteristics of the root-seeking films in the high-tide period.Chapter four focuses on the phenomenon that the trend of searching for roots is still hidden in the creation of films after the craze of searching for roots has faded in the 1990s.According to the characteristics of this period of time,this paper analyzes the reasons why the root-seeking films remain for a long time,as well as the root-seeking features contained in the root-seeking films during this period of time.The fifth chapter analyzes the reasons for the emergence of the new root-seeking wave in recent years from three perspectives:the popularity of video documentary style,the sense of responsibility driven by hometown complex,and the common social disease.In addition,it looks for the characteristics of the new root-seeking films after the new century,and selects the works of the directors who represent the root-seeking in the new century for detailed analysis.Finally,the thesis summarizes the development process of root-seeking films and the specific characteristics in different time periods,and points out the shortcomings of root-seeking films at present,and tentatively gives creative suggestions and guidance.
