On The Decorative Expression Of Oil Paintings

Villar is a very important artist in the late 19 th century and early 20 th century.He plays a connecting role in the field of painting.His special decorative painting language exudes attractive characteristics.Villar’s skillful use of decorative color and form structure makes his paintings full of decorative interest.It is of great help to find his own painting language by exploring the decorative factors in his paintings and summarizing the rules of his painting form structure and color using skills.This paper attempts to summarize the characteristics of decoration in his paintings by studying the decorative elements of Villar,and to screen,refine and apply his decorative painting language to his own practice,find the theoretical basis for his practice,gradually form his own painting language,and create better works of art.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part briefly introduces decorative painting and Nabi school.The second part introduces the art features and decorative art language of Villar,and summarizes the different characteristics of the decorative art of various stages of Villar.From the three aspects of form structure,color and the reference of Oriental Art,this paper analyzes the linguistic features of the decoration of Villar.The third part,combined with his own works,expounds the application of the elements of his decorative painting in his own creation from the aspects of theme selection,decorative composition and decorative color.The fourth part introduces the feeling and the conclusion in the process of practice.
