| In order to profoundly understand Wang Yangming’s philosophy,the thought of the heart body of “non-good and non-evil” in his mind is an indispensable link.“Non-good and non-evil” is put forward on the basis of “the mind is principle”.Its function is to distinguish the difference between mind and nature,and the main purpose is to correct the deviation of “that is the reason” of Cheng-Zhu School.The reason why Wang Yangming has integrated his thoughts with “non-good and non-evil” is not only related to the theoretical knowledge he has come into contact with,but also has a great connection with his personal character.Therefore,the thought of “non-good and non-evil” should not only be grasped from the theoretical logic,but also from his personal experience.However,there was the idea of“non-good and non-evil” before Wang Yangming.This paper focuses on how Wang Yangming got “non-good and non-evil” into his theory of the mind.Any research on previous theories certainly needs to be re-investigated in the context of the present era.It is found that this thought has guiding significance to manifest the subjectivity and individuality for contemporary people through the study of Wang Yangming’s“non-good and non-evil”. |
