The "No Good and No Evil" debate was an important debate in the academic history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It involved numerous scholars and schools, drew attention to the ills of the study of Wang Yangming, and triggered an academic transformation. The debate on "No Good and No Evil" was initiated by Wang Ji and Qian Dehong and developed by Xu Fuyuan and Zhou Rudeng. Then to Gu xiancheng and Gao panlong from the school of Donglin, the "Return from Wang to Zhu" movement was launched in academic circles, exerting an influence on Liu Zongzhou, and into the early Qing Dynasty, the movement was further developed with the constant analysis of "No Good and No Evil".In terms of the above three stages, the "No Good and No Evil" debate by Neo-Confucianists in the early Qing dynasty remains to be further developed, undoubtedly. The author goes deeper into the "No Good and No Evil" debate by Neo-Confucianists in the early Qing dynasty through analysis of some underutilized literature. For Lu Liuliang and Lu Longqi, the author mainly discusses their views of "No Good and No Evil" according to relevant records in the Four Books. In fact,Lu Liuliang and Lu Longqi shared many similarities in their analysis of "No Good and No Evil",especially in their advocacy of "bringing Buddhism into Confucianism".As for Zhang Lie,the author mainly examines his book Questions over the Study of Wang Yangming.Overall,Zhang Lie was strict about "No Good and No Evil".Compared with Zhang Lie,Wei Yijie was quite mild with the intention of restoring the "Good Nature" theory. Finally,Xiong Cilu's book Records of Idle Words was analyzed.Xiong's "No Good and No Evil"analysis aimed to restore the core status of idealism in Neo-Confucianism.
