In fact,Qiu’s historical achievements are far more than the pioneering work of saving the world, and his philosophical thought reflects the rational brilliance beyond the times.Qiu’s philosophy based on the thought of the Taoist tradition of "Qi Theory".Respond to the current situation,Qiu made great innovations in internal elixir theory, not only breaking the traditional Taoism’s obsession with the body immortality, but also changing Taoism’s habit of avoiding the world to practicing, leading Taoism from the mountains and fields to the secular world. In order to integrate the Taoist practice into the secular society from the philosophy,Qiu put forward a series of new viewpoints that are completely different from the traditional Taoist style, including the idea of "Though the body in the things but nothing in the mind" belongs to mind and nature cultivation, the idea of "Care about the whole society until becoming immortal" belongs to concept of Gongxing. The pursuit of spirit transcends that "The correct theory pursues spiritual transcendence, the wrong theory seeks bodily immortality" and its unique existentialism cognition that "Action and inaction have the same meaning for the transcendence of life".Through the innovation of the concrete spiritual practice idea,it also shows the theoretical characteristics of Qiu’s philosophical thought of returning to the spirit of universal love of Taoism, the double negation of "inaction" and transcending the belief of immortals. As a new achievement of Taoism’s development to mature stage,Qiu’s philosophy thought and Confucianism and Buddhism’s theory achievement in the mature period also showed some consistency, mainly in confluence with Zen theory of mind and the construction of Song Ming’s Neo-Confucianism.It can be found that Qiu’s philosophy has always shown a deep concern for the actual living conditions of human beings, and this universal ideological implication is still of enlightening significance in contemporary times.Although its concrete ideological content has gradually lost its attractiveness along with the loss of history, what it contains would not be blinded by the dust of history.Such as the ideal of surpassing the reality and the eternal spirit of pursuing freedom will accompany the development of human civilization by the new times. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Qi monism, Taoist philosophy, Song Ming’s Neo-Confucianism, Zen Buddhism, Quanzhen Taoism, Qiu Chuji | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
