Fu Xiuying is a masterful contemporary "post-70s" writer. With the short story "Love Spreads Everywhere",she amazed the literary world. She has been working hard since then, opening up "Fangcun" as a writing stronghold and publishing many distinctive local novels. In addition, she continued to expand the boundaries of her writing, focusing on the Beijing life of strangers, giving new connotations and thinking to the novels about rural folks entering cities. In the "Fangcun" series of novels, writers rely more on daily life scenes and secular customs to present the simplicity and beauty of the rural world in a true and delicate manner. At the same time, she pays attention to the spiritual shock and pain experienced by rural individuals during the urbanization transition period. When Fu Xiuying set her sights on the city, she still did not want to abandon the children of Fangcun she was familiar with, but placed them in the context of urban consumer culture,so as to deeply understand the living conditions and value confusion of contemporary people. The thesis is written from Fu Xiuying’s Fangcun and Beijing writing, referring to many novel texts written by she in more than ten years, based on the context of the modernization of urban and rural development, and on the basis of exploring the inherent aesthetic meaning and expression methods of the novel, and gaining insight into Fu Xiuying’s spiritual pursuit and compassion. This article is mainly divided into four chapters:The first chapter of the main text takes the writer’s special identity as a "host and guest" to Fangcun as an entry point, and interprets Fangcun’s mottled picture under the sway of multiple experiences such as childhood, reality, and dreams. The rural world under the filter of children’s experience has a strong poetic color, and rural women in the ordinary world are plated with dazzling aura, changing the pale and weak or vulgar and barbaric image characteristics of women in the past rural narratives;the description of daily life is finely divided,It also flows out the charm of ancient rural China, conveying the unique spiritual outlook of the children of the rural areas. In addition,we can see through the realistic experience in the text, look at the country that makes the writer feel unfamiliar and worry, and explore the novel’s attention and reflection on the new situation of the country. Finally,it analyzes the fragmented and fuzzy rural landscape in the dream, revealing the survival paradox between the contemporary people’s reality and returning to the hometown in the dream. The second chapter focuses on the family space, the external activity place and the urban psychological experience of the urban residents in Fu Xiuying’s works, examines the dynamic process of the interaction, mutual integration and symbiosis between the migrants and Beijing, and makes an insight into the writer’s personal urban living experience and ambiguous emotional attitude towards Beijing hidden behind the space writing. The family space presents an obvious variation in the novel.Through analysis,it is found that the alienation and distrust among urban family members is a true portrayal of the detachment and dissociation relationships that prevail among modern urban groups. The streets, workplaces and rental houses in the outer activity fields reflect the complex meaning of Beijing to the migrants from different aspects. On the one hand,it brings them confusion and depression that is difficult to adapt to,and on the other hand,it provides them with opportunities for self-salvation.The novel’s in-depth exploration of the urban psychological space reveals the ambivalence and loneliness of urban strangers to the fullest. The third chapter elaborates on the modernization anxiety and the consciousness of reflection shown in Fu Xiuying’s novels. In the process of modernization, the urban and rural subsistence groups are faced with puzzles and problems about where to go.In the local novels, individuals face more survival anxiety under the influence of modern material civilization; The intellectual groups in urban novels reflect the spiritual anxiety during the social transformation period. They wander between the traditional ethics of the countryside and the emerging urban rules, and they cannot reap peace in their hearts. At the same time, apart from talking about anxiety,we should also see the perseverance and courage of the writer to explore ways to relieve anxiety and redemption for the protagonist in the novel. The fourth chapter discusses the literary value of Fu Xiuying’s works, and explores and explains the transcendental value of Fu Xiuying’s novels from three different aspects: the continuation of classical literature, the reference of western narrative forms and the search for new ways of urban and rural writing. This paper focuses on the similarities between the narrative techniques and the bleak tone of the costume writers and the Chinese classic novel "A Dream of Red Mansions".At the same time,it focuses on the modern factors flowing in the narrative aspects of the work, and uses stream of consciousness and polyphony theory to fully interpret the text discourse. Finally, from the novel’s contribution to urban and rural writing and the depth of the exploration of human nature,Fu Xiuying’s creation characteristics and spiritual trend are explored.
