Muzhou,in Tang Dynasty,was the east of Jiangnan Dao,and its jurisdiction now belongs to Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province.In the Tang Dynasty,there were 18 poets in Muzhou.They were distributed in the middle and late Tang Dynasty,and more than1,000 poems were preserved.This paper takes the poets of Muzhou in the Tang Dynasty as the object,studies their life experiences and over a thousand poems,in order to comprehensively grasp the overall style of their poetry creation.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter carries on the overall investigation to Muzhou.This chapter sorts out the historical development of Muzhou,and introduce the economic conditions,folk traditions,natural and cultural landscapes of Muzhou in the Tang Dynasty to illustrate that the beautiful scenery and historical and cultural heritage of Muzhou provide suitable soil for the emergence and creation of muzhou poets.The second chapter analyzes the life and communication of Muzhou poets.This chapter summarizes the life experiences of these Muzhou poets and analyzes their characteristics.Their activities were mainly concentrated in the middle and late Tang Dynasty,and there were more hermits than officials.In addition,through the textual research of their friendship,their communication objects are divided into poets,officials,monks and Taoists according to their identities.The third chapter divides the poetry of Muzhou poets into six categories according to the theme,respectively are farewell poems,landscape poems,lyric poems,seclusion poems,object-chanting poems and the Ganye poems.These six types of creation have a considerable number and distinctive features,which almost cover all the themes of Muzhou poets’ poems.This chapter takes these six kinds of poems as the main research object,and makes an in-depth discussion on the poems of Muzhou poets.The fourth chapter analyzes the artistic style of the Muzhou poets’ poetry,mainly studies the genre,language,artistic conception and style of the poems.Their poetry is mainly Tin-ti poems,especially the five-character metrical verses.They not only pay attention to the refinement of poetic words and sentences,but also strive to make the language as simple as possible.Although their poetry style is different,they generally show the style characteristics of Qing and plain.The fifth chapter selects the late Tang poets,Li Pin who have rich life experience,many poems and outstanding achievements,analyzes his life and thought,and discriminates the Confucianism and the Buddhist thought in his thoughts,investigates the emotional expression and the beauty of neutralization in his poems.Li Pin’s poems are different from other Muzhou poets because his poems are not only elegant but also vigorous,which has the style of poetry in the High Tang Dynasty.
