Research On The Relationship Between Artists And Society Under Cultural Capital And Symbolic Power

With the development of contemporary art,the cultural capital,as the operation of knowledge,has become an important pass in the field of art.It is not only the basis of creation,watching and circulation,but also promotes the development of art in the social history together with the symbolic power that quietly put on the coat of civilization for management and control.Bourdieu’s theory of art sociology gives people the possibility to jump out of the worship of art talent and observe the operation of art field with a calm Sociological Vision.When the social history gives art a kind of collective belief,the whole art field has completed a huge alchemy process with the society.Artists use cultural capital and symbolic power to gain the ability of turning stone into gold.Modern society also completes the production and reproduction of social class and artistic class under the cover of cultural capital to symbolic power.The art self-discipline advocated by the limited production places in the art field gradually separated the creation from the public,but in the contemporary society where the intellectuals were dispelled,the artists took over the responsibilities and obligations of the intellectuals in the art field,making their eyes return to the society.The society constructs artists,but also by artists.This paper attempts to explore the refining relationship between artists and society by looking for traces of cultural capital and symbolic power in the context of contemporary art field,leading to the problems faced by art at present,and finally guiding the vigilance and Thinking on the use of cultural capital and symbolic power.
