Entering into the 21st century,more and more people have realized that leadership plays a pivotal role in decision-making,organizational development and other aspects,and subsequently,the researches on leadership has become more and more in-depth.In this context,the translation and introduction of western management works on leadership and the introduction of advanced ideas of leadership are of great significance to the study of management in China.This report mainly discusses the translation of business texts,especially the texts of administration in light of Chesterman’s Translation Norm Theory with a case study of The Future Leader: 9 Skills and Mindsets to Succeed in the Next Decade.Under the guidance of Chesterman’s Translation Norm Theory,this report explores the characteristics of the source text from genre,theme,style,and language,and analyzes the strategies and methods applied in the translation process at the lexical,syntactic,and textual levels,so as to summarize the solutions to the difficulties encountered in the translation process.The author hopes that this report can enrich the translation strategies and methods for the translation of business texts,especially texts of administration,providing a reference for other translators.Besides,it’s also the hope of the author that this report can further facilitate introducing the advanced western concepts to the administration of Chinese enterprises,and bring the experience of world excellent enterprises and their CEOs to Chinese enterprises,so as to push the further development of Chinese enterprises and China’s economy.
