With the increasing development of the aging population, the problems brought by aging have attracted the attention of all countries in the world.Loneliness, pressure and other serious risks have become threats to the mental health of the elderly. In this context,a "positive trend" has emerged in the field of psychology and aging research. How to reduce the threat of loneliness, stress and other problems, improve the mental health of the elderly,so as to improve the level of active aging of the elderly is an urgent problem to be solved. The effects of subjective social relationships and self-acceptance on the physical and mental health, subjective well-being and life satisfaction of the elderly have been confirmed by a large number of empirical studies. In this study, based on the theory of social connection model, combined with resource conservation theory, social escort theory and transaction stress model, the relationship among positive aging, social connection, loneliness, perceived stress and self-acceptance was explored, and the relationship model was constructed to examine its interactive mechanism. The research adopts the questionnaire design, taking 725 elderly university seniors as the research object, the results show that:(1)Active aging, social connectedness, loneliness, perceived stress, and self-acceptance were significantly correlated;Social connectedness can significantly positively predict the degree of active aging.(2)Loneliness played a partial mediating role in the effect of social connection on active aging. The mediating effect of social connection and social disconnection on family support was significant through social loneliness and emotional loneliness.(3)Perceived stress played a partial mediating role in the relationship between social connection and active aging. The mediating effect of social connection on life satisfaction and active participation was significant.Social connection had significant mediating effect on physical vitality through feeling out of control.(4)Loneliness and perceived stress played a partially chain-mediated role in the relationship between social connection and active aging.Furthermore, the mediating effects of social connection on physical vitality, life satisfaction, family support and active participation were found to be significant through social loneliness/emotional loneliness and stress/loss of control.Social disconnection had a significant mediating effect on family support through social loneliness/emotional loneliness, loss of control, and active participation.(5)Self-acceptance played a moderating role in the mediating model of social connection and loneliness on active aging.Among them, cognitive acceptance and affective acceptance played a significant moderating role in the mediation model. The results suggest that providing more social support to the elderly can effectively reduce loneliness and psychological stress.Promoting the elderly to have a correct understanding of the elderly life and social environment, and enhancing self-acceptance can effectively promote and improve the mental health of the elderly, and enhance the level of active aging.
