| The Central Daily News,as the most authoritative newspaper of the Kuomintang,aims to promote the major policies of the Kuomintang regime and maintain the image of the Kuomintang government.The Central Daily News was published in Nanjing for 9 years(1929-1937),which coincided with the beginning of the Nationalist government’s political training.The formulation and implementation of anti-smoking and anti-drug policies,as an important manifestation of the government’s image,also received the attention of the newspaper.Through the analysis of the Central Daily News propaganda texts about anti-smoking and anti-drugs published in Nanjing for9 years,it studies the social governance of Nanjing National Government at the level of anti-smoking and anti-drugs and the role of the Central Daily News in anti-smoking and anti-drug propaganda.This article attempts to study from the following parts: The first chapter introduces the development process of the Central Daily News and the opium and narcotics issues involved in the newspapers.The second chapter studies the Central Daily News on the changes in the Nanjing Central Government’s attitude towards prohibiting opium and narcotics,the formulation and implementation of anti-smoking and anti-drug policies at different stages,and relevant reports on the efforts of the central anti-smoking agencies to promote the smoking ban.The third chapter studies the reports on local anti-smoking and anti-drug issues was presented in the Central Daily News,analyzes the supervision of local people on the central anti-smoking policy.In addition,this chapter studies the local government’s anti-smoking policy and the efforts of local government and non-governmental organizations in anti-smoking and anti-drug publicity.At the same time,the Central Daily News had not forgotten to expose the obstacles in the local ban on smoking and drug control.The fourth chapter studies the reports in the Central Daily News on the international community’s anti-drug issues in my country,analyzes the role of the international community in promoting and hindering China’s anti-smoking and anti-drug,and the measures were taken by China in the face of foreign forces’ obstacles to China’s anti-smoking and anti-drug.The fifth chapter studies the strategy and methods of the Central Daily News in promoting anti-smoking and anti-drugs.Research has shown that the Central Daily News publicized the anti-smoking and anti-drug issues in a timely manner,covered a wide range of content,and attracted widespread attention from the society.The sixth chapter evaluates the role of Central Daily News’ s anti-smoking and anti-drug propaganda and its incompleteness in propaganda.Through analysis,it can be seen that the Central Daily News had carried out sufficient publicity reports on the Nanjing National Government’s anti-drug activities during the nine years of its publication in Nanjing,but its official nature makes the anti-smoking and anti-drug reports lack comprehensive. |
