| The Sanbao eunuch’s journey to western world is a magic novel written by Luo Maodeng in the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty,the story is based on Zheng He’s voyages to the western seas.The author did not use the traditional way of historical romance to describe the story of Zheng He’s voyages to the western seas,but glamorized the story of Zheng He’s voyages,and traveled around the western countries in the battle between gods and demons.At the same time,the author used a lot of historical materials for reference when describing the western countries,the historical materials blended with gods and demons,and created a western world with both reality and imagination.Zheng He’s fleet also had material and spiritual exchanges with western countries on his voyages,and Chinese worship was also developed and spread in western countries.This paper takes the Ming Dynasty novel the Western Tale as the research object,and combines the relevant historical materials of Zheng He’s voyages to explore the western countries and the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries at that time.This paper takes the Western Tale as the main research object and is divided into three chapters,which are analyzed and studied from three aspects: the real and imagination of the foreign activities in the Western Tale,the material exchange and custom education between China and foreign countries in the Western Tale,and the belief and worship in the Western Tale under the background of cultural exchange.The first chapter is the study of the foreign activities in the Western Tale,discussing the reality and imagination of the Western countries.The western countries in the novel are not invented by the author,but created on the basis of historical materials.Among them,the geographical features and customs of the country have great authenticity.Meanwhile,the author also invented and imagined some war scenes and foreign characters,and constructed a foreign picture scroll with both reality and imagination,it reflects people’s cognition of western countries in Ming Dynasty.The second chapter focuses on the material exchange and custom education between China and foreign countries in the Western Tale.Spices,as tribute,were introduced into China from western countries.Spices had various uses in western countries,and their introduction also affected the formation of Chinese spice culture and promoted the cultural exchange between China and foreign countries.After Zheng He’s fleet arrived in western countries,he educated the local customs,which were reflected in the civilization of human relations,the governance of pirates and the change of strange customs,which reflected the transmission and communication between different cultures.The third chapter analyzes the belief and worship in the Western Tale under the background of cultural exchange.The belief of Tian Fei and the worship of Zheng He were both introduced to western countries from China and developed and evolved in western countries.This paper mainly discusses the belief of Tian Fei in the Western Tale,the emergence,development,dissemination and the communication between the two sides,as well as the image of Zheng He in the Western Tale and the expression and dissemination of the worship of Zheng He in the Western countries,these beliefs and worship had a positive impact on people at that time. |
