| The emergence of migrant Christian is the inevitable result of the large-scale migration of rural surplus labor to cities.This paper selects the X migrant Christian church and its believers in N City,as the research object,and collects relevant data from the two aspects,that is the church and believers,thereby describing the development motivation of the migrant Christian church,the migrant Christians’ religious life and the interaction between believers and church,so as to discuss the characteristics of migrant Christians church.The case of migrant Christians church shows that middle-aged and elderly believers constitute the majority of the faith structure in this church,but the uniqueness lies in the fact that most migrant Christians’ families in this church are religious.Its organization structure is relatively simple and there is no formal management structure,only priests are responsible for all administrative affairs;This church’s meeting procedures are the same as those of other types of churches;The main reasons for X church’s development and expansion are the objective social environment and the subjective management strategy.The X Church also faces many problems during its development process,such as the risk of losing believers and the deep foundation of folk beliefs;There are two types of reasons for the migrant Christians religious choice,namely "active" conversion and "forced" conversion.At the same time,they choose to commit to the this type of church because of the proximity,but also because of the strong sense of identity among migrant Christian;X church provides believers with a variety of public services,such as various religious activities,the acquisition of religious knowledge and the children’s education counseling.On the contrary,they also participate in the church’s social charity,visits,condolence to the poor and other public activities,and they depend on each other and develop together.Although X church still exists in religious market of N city,its situation is still very difficult,and some studies on the migrant Christians church still need to be further discussed. |
