Research On Social Practice Of The World Chinese Students’ Federation From 1917 To 1927

At the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century,the strong trend of Western learning spreading eastward,the relatively relaxed ideological and cultural environment,the emergence of many civil society organizations,coupled with the emergence of several upsurge in studying abroad and other factors,strongly promoted the establishment and development of the World Chinese Students’ Federation.The World Chinese Students’ Federation is an early Chinese intermediary agency.Since its inception,it has been committed to serving and educating international students.Its members are all over the country and its social influence is far-reaching.By the time of the May Fourth Movement,it has developed into a prestigious social group in the Shanghai education community.From 1917 to 1927,the social practice of the World Chinese Students’ Federation was divided into two aspects: cultural education practice and political social practice.The practice of cultural education mainly includes the establishment of newspapers and magazines,invitations to celebrities and lectures by experts and scholars,as well as the establishment of evening school schools and various remedial classes,and the preparation of civilian schools and other school education activities.Political social practices include domestic political activities that support the May Fourth Patriotic Movement,insights and opinions on the current situation,and calls on relevant events in China,Europe and the United States,and calls on relevant events in Japan.These activities reflect the concern of the World Chinese Students’ Federation in this period on cultural and educational undertakings and the political situation at home and abroad.The founders,participants and sponsors of the World Chinese Students’ Federation are mostly international students.They play a very important role in the creation and development of the society and make special contributions to deepening cultural exchanges between the East and the West.The World Chinese Students’ Federation not only aggregates a large number of social elites,but also has a broad social influence and strong appeal in the society.It is also good at condensing various social forces and leading the society to move forward.The World Chinese Students’ Federation has always adhered to the principle of seeking progress in China,helping students and developing education,pursuing a beautiful social ideal,and eagerly participating in the education of Chinese study abroad,demonstrating the lofty patriotism of the international student group.
