The Preliminary Study On The Performance Of Two Traditional Hakka Zheng Musical Works Named Single Nodding And Disorderly Flower Arrangement

As one of the nine schools Guzheng in China,Hakka Zheng is deeply influenced by Hakka culture,and still maintains the characteristics of primitive simplicity and elegant musical temperament.At the beginning,due to the limitations of musical notation and teaching methods,the musical works of Hakka Zheng was not widely spread and developed.Mr.He Yuzhai,Mr.Luo Jiuxiang and many predecessors spare no effort to collect and reinterpret,Hakka Zheng musical works,known as "living fossil",has been handed down till now.Single nod and Disorderly flower arranging are sixty-eight section traditional musical works of Hakka Zheng,which usually ensemble play,called Single nodding and disorderly flower arrangement.It presents the girl going out,dressing up in a hurry,and the happy situation.It’s the miniature and portrayal of Hakka life,intending to show the Hakka people’s beautiful yearning for a stable life after they moved south.This article will take Mr.Rao Ningxin’s performance score as an example,combined with my own performance practice attempt to make a personal preliminary interpretation by analysing the score version,the source of creative material,music structure and melody characteristics,as well as the Hakka customs and culture of multiple correlation.
