Bobai Hakka "to Do The Fasting Ritual Music

This article takes ritual music in"zuozhai"of the Hakka Bobai in Guangxi Province as the object of study, using the ethnomusicology research method and theory and combining with triune theory framework of "belief - ceremony– music", regards the local folk beliefs, the behavior of"zuozhai"and the music of ceremony as a combination, comprehensively investigates social and cultural backgrounds, social and cultural backgrounds of"zuozhai", composition and music of ceremony, as well as interactive relationship between them, and gives all-sided interpretations. This paper is divided into the following parts:Chapter One: existence background of"zuozhai"From aspects of natural environment, hakka culture, customs and folk beliefs, etc, the existence background of ritual music of"zuozhai"is briefly introduced.Chapter Two: general picture of"zuozhai"ceremony From aspects of funeral custom, Daogong's function, composition of ceremony the ceremony"zuozhai"is summarized integrally, and combined with a ceremony case, of which the process is described in detail.Chapter Three: ritual music of"zuozhai"The music used in the ceremony is introduced in detail, and music form of the song people-singing in the ceremony is analyzed from mode, melody, rhythm, structure of music four aspects.Chapter Four : cultural interpretation of"zuozhai"Using the related theory, combined with the drama factors and ritual music functions, the article expounded"zuozhai"from a multitude of perspectives and conclude the interaction of the three factors"belief - ceremony– music".
