| With the continuous enhancement of China’ comprehensive strength,Chinese culture has gone to the world and become a culture attracting worldwide attention.The international status of the whole Chinese culture is becoming more and more prominent.As a member of the Chinese nation,high school students have the obligation to know and disseminate Chinese culture.The New Curriculum Standard(2017)states that“learning of excellent Chinese and foreign cultures will help students broaden their international horizons,understand and tolerate different cultures,enhance their understanding of Chinese excellent traditional culture,revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture,form correct values and moral feelings,and become a person with civilized qualities and a sense of social responsibility.” This shows that it is particularly important to integrate Chinese culture into high school English reading classrooms.This article focuses on the integration of Chinese culture into high school English classrooms,and explores how to effectively introduce Chinese culture into high school English reading classrooms so as to improve students’ English language ability and interest in learning.This article mainly answers the following research questions:1.How to effectively introduce Chinese culture into the high school English reading class?2.To what extent can the introduction of Chinese culture in high school English reading classes improve students’ English language ability and interest in English learning?This article uses experimental research.Before the teaching experiment,the author made a lot of preliminary research preparations,carefully studied the reading articles of15 units of compulsory three,compulsory four and compulsory five of the high school English textbook published by the People’s Education Edition,and summarized the table of cultural teaching,formulated the general idea of introducing Chinese culture in high school reading teaching,and designed practical and practical teaching plans.Through questionnaire surveys,test papers and other means,the performance and changes of the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment are measured,aiming to explore how to effectively introduce Chinese culture into the high school English reading class,and to improve students’ reading comprehension ability.The experimental results show that through the one-year teaching experiment,the students in the experimental group have increased their interest in English learning,and their English reading comprehension ability has also been greatly improved.Due to the limited number of samples in the experiment and other factors,this research still has shortcomings and needs further improvement.It is hoped that this experiment can help teachers further improve the teaching effect of English reading teaching and improve students’ English reading comprehension ability. |
