The Research On Gadamer’s Political Hermeneutics

At the beginning of the 20 th century,the political situation in Europe was tense and oppressed,which made it dangerous to discuss political issues.on the other hand,the fierce competition of international contradictions also made people aware of the importance of peace.Based on the western classical theory,Gadamer developed the thought of political hermeneutics by using the train of thought of hermeneutics,in which the basic connotation is mainly related to three main points,namely,the connotation of justice,the connotation of practice and the connotation of freedom.Gadamer inherits Plato’s thought of justice and discusses it from the perspective of personal justice and city-state justice.He holds that justice is the inherent essence of a good political order,and only when justice is regarded as the highest political attitude can the ideal city-state be realized.The human community is inseparable from life practice.Based on the inherent dialectical relationship between natural science and spiritual science,Gadamer believes that practical politics is the perfection of the perfection of political technology,and that the highest goodness pursued by politics in a broad sense.In fact,it is the perfect and self-sufficient happiness of human beings,so the significance of practicing politics is broader.Freedom is related to the happiness of human life.Gadamer explores the mystery of freedom from the liberation of human beings.he believes that the premise of political activities must be "free man",and freedom under the domination of science and technology is limited.We need to realize the inherent basic connotation of a good political order in order to know how to build an ideal world in the future.Gadamer’s political hermeneutics understands and analyzes political problems with a critical concept of balance,which can connect people’s attention in one direction without becoming extreme nationalism.from this we can see his cosmopolitan political vision.How to realize the ideal world,Gadamer found the answer from hermeneutics.Through the path of enlightenment and dialogue,he achieved mutual tolerance between countries and avoided the occurrence of impulsive war.The practical significance of language brings the possibility of realization to the Utopia of language,and achieves a harmonious political order in the political state of fraternity and unity,so as to realize Gadamer’s ideal world in the future.
