Study On Jiao Jian’s Short And Medium Stories

Jiao Jian is a writer who has made outstanding achievements in the forum of Chinese contemporary literature,a member of the Chinese writers’ Association,a member of the presidium of Shandong writers’ Association,and a former chairman of Yantai writers’ Association.Since 1973 when he began to write novels,he has published seven novels,seven collections of short and medium stories and three film scripts.Jiao Jian’s literary achievements are mainly reflected in his short and medium stories.He reflected the real social reality in his works.He won the national excellent novel award twice and the provincial and ministerial literary creation award many times.Under the guidance of Marxist theory of literature and art,on the basis of a comprehensive and close reading of Jiao Jian’s Short and medium Stories,this paper makes an overall analysis of their creation and research,and tries to make a preliminary study of the creation of Jiao Jian’s Short and medium Stories from the aspects of theme types,characters and artistic characteristics,so as to grasp the spiritual theme and aesthetic characteristics of Jiao Jian creation.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly discusses the theme types of Jiao Jian’s Short and medium Stories.This chapter divides the themes of Jiao Jian’s short and medium stories into rural themes and urban themes.Combining his strong personal experience and creation concept,we respectively discuss and analyze the themes presented in his short and medium stories.Jiao Jian is well known by readers for his works on rural subjects.In his short and medium stories about rural areas,he mainly describes the lives of farmers and their ideas,in order to reflect the real social reality and existing problems.The urban short and medium stories reflect the changes in people’s pursuits and values in life with the development of society and under the economic tide.In his works,Jiao Jian not only depicts the civic life of greed and pursuit of material enjoyment,but also shows the civic life that emphasizes emotions,and is full of love and positive energy in their lives.Jiao Jian uses this method of contrast to call on people to return to their nature.The second chapter mainly discusses the characters in Jiao Jian’s short and medium stories.This chapter sorts out and analyzes the representative images of the characters in Jiao Jian’s short and medium stories,which are mainly divided into: the image of the peasant and the image of the citizen.In the Jiao Jian’s short and medium stories,there are images of advanced and active farmers who make use of policies such as production responsibility system and household contracting to get rich first.They are not afraid of setbacks and are at the forefront of the times,which has promoted the development of rural reforms to a certain extent.In his works,there are images of farmers who cannot keep up with the development of the times,cannot adapt to the new rural policies,outdated ideas,and outdated.They hinder the progress of rural reforms to a certain extent.In the works of urban themes,he pays attention to depicting the spiritual world of the characters.In
