Research And Enlightenment Of Zhang Daqian’s Splash Color Landscape Painting

Zhang Daqian is one of the most legendary masters of traditional Chinese painting in the 20 th century.He is versatile in painting,calligraphy,seal cutting and poetry.His superb artistic skills and rich painting themes all show his comprehensive artistic accomplishments.In his early years,Zhang Daqian concentrated on studying ancient calligraphy and painting,and developed profound traditional skills,especially in landscape painting.After living abroad,the painting style is combined with fine brushwork and freehand brushwork,emphasizing heavy color and wash painting,especially the combination of splashing ink and splashing color,which created a new artistic style.And provided a reference for contemporary painters to study from tradition to modern.This paper starts with Zhang Daqian’s splash color landscape painting,sorts out the evolution of different painting styles in each period vertically,and compares Zhang Daqian’s landscape painting with his own creation horizontally.This paper focuses on the change of color application in Zhang Daqian’s splash color landscape,and explores the aesthetic tendency behind the splash color landscape.Combined with my own graduation creation experience to discuss learning experience.Especially in the use of materials,further explore the expansion of the application of traditional mineral color.According to the properties of different materials,make the performance of the screen more diversified.This paper analyses the application of color splashing techniques in contemporary painting,and further interprets the profound and lasting influence of Zhang Daqian’s color splashing landscape painting techniques on Chinese painting,so as to better apply color splashing techniques to contemporary painting.
