Research On Zhang Daqian's Splash-ink And Splash-color Landscape Painting

Zhang Daqian was one of the best-known and most prodigious Chinese artists of the twentieth century.His tremendous works,the particular vision,and his traveling experience made him admired by the world.He resided lots of places from Argentina to California and acted different roles such as a monk or an advisor to Qing government which all lead his life to full of legendary colors.Chang was also known as an outstandingly versatile artistry,proficient in landscapes,figures,flowers and birds,calligraphy,poetry and many other aspects.While the most prominent achievement would be the first innovation of splash style in his later years which guiding Chinese traditional landscape painting into a more splendid era.This article was divided into three chapters,first,explain the life of Chang's,Then,through the analysis of three aspects: "the extension of traditional painting","the influence of the Western color concept" and "the spirit of innovation" which concluded that how Chang's artistic style of splashed ink was formed.Based on this,the artistic features of the splashed style were elicited.The splashed style as a preeminent innovation style used a large-scale color ink rendering which broken the tradition that based on lines”,and the color was wild and spiky which changed the humdrum concept from predecessors that only have gray-black tone.The characteristics of splashed style also consist of Integration of abstract and figurative and majestic magnificent size.The article concludes with a brief overview of Chang's significance behind the innovation of the style of splashed ink and splashed landscape paintings,which are innovating lead to gain the respect as well as the international recognition and opening a new expression path for Chinese painting.As an important pioneer in the innovation of Chinese landscape painting in the 20 th century,he has made a huge contribution to the development of modern landscape painting.The full text was a systematic analysis of the formation of Zhang Daqian's splashing artistic,artistic characteristics,and the significance of innovation.Wish this study would enhance our understanding of the most gifted master forgers of the 20 th century-Zhang Daqian.
