| The intonation of second language learners is different from that of native speakers. In order to explore this problem, many phonetic researches have compared the similarities and differences of intonation between native speakers and second language learners experimental methods, and verified that there are great differences in intonation features between Chinese and English intonation acquisition.Apart from the factors of language features itself, there are obvious doubts that do Chinese interrogatives with obvious question words at the end of sentences and English interrogatives without question words have different effects on the acquisition of intonation of ? Is it difficult for foreigners to master Chinese? This paper will verify this conjecture by means of phonetic experiment. The boundary tones of declarative sentences and interrogative sentences have their own characteristics. In order to better reflect the intonation similarities and differences between L2 and native speakers, the interrogative sentences with the most obvious intonation changes are selected as the experimental sentences. In order to find out which aspect of intonation is embodied in the differences between L1 and L2 learners’ interrogative sentences, and to explore which acoustic parameter of L1 intonation affect the intonation of learners’ interrogative sentences. This paper conducts an experimental operation to analyze the intonation characteristics of interrogative sentences of Chinese learners in the United States and those of English learners in China. The recorded data were analyzed from “Fluctuation”,“Volume ratio” and “Pause and Relay rate”.After the audio was collected, the Praat software was used to extract the intonation segmental annotation and prosody features(pitch, length, intensity, etc.),and the excel Figure was used for collation and comparison to analyze the significance and correlation of the recording results. The main conclusion of this paper is: for Chinese learners,it is more difficult for Chinese learners to acquire intensity and length of English intonation. At the same time, the difficulty of acquiring Chinese intonation is greater than that of acquiring English intonation. The focus words and key words in the second language will have a phonetic impact on the learners. In the process of second language intonation acquisition, the emergence of interrogative mood words will have an impact on tone acquisition.Chinese first, second and third tones are less affected by interrogative mood words and are easier to acquire accurately, but the emergence of interrogative mood words has a greater impact on the acquisition of four tones and is more difficult for second language learners to master accurately. |
