Research Of Interrogative Sentences In SanXiaWuYi

“San Xia Wu Yi”(《三侠五义》)was written in the late Qing Dynasty.The corpus can be attributed to the late modern Chinese language.It was developed from the performance scripts of rap artists.Based on the form of interrogative sentences and referring to semantic factors,the author divides the interrogative sentences in the book into four categories:yes-no interrogative sentence,choice interrogative sentence,positive-negative interrogative sentence and specific interrogative sentence.In the main body,the author studies the use of four types of interrogative sentences and the non-interrogative function of interrogative sentences in chapters.These four types of interrogative sentences are generally very close to the usage of modern Chinese interrogative sentences.There are differences in language,format and so on.In the chapter of non-questioning functions,the author discusses the different basic forms as the basis for classification.It should be noted that these sentences expressing non-interrogative functions are obviously affected by context and semantics in their use.At the same time,by comparing with the chivalrous romance novel“Er Nv Ying Xiong Story”(《儿女英雄传》)that appeared later in the same period,it can be found that the proportion of new language elements in the works written a little later increased,while the proportion of old language elements decreased.In the later writings,the interrogative sentences are marked in a more flexible format,and there are more sentences expressing non-interrogative functions.It is worth noting that different text content also has a greater impact on the number of interrogative sentences and interrogative adverbs.In short,“San Xia Wu Yi”(《三侠五义》)generally shows a clear transition.Compared with modern Chinese,there are four main differences:the continuous use of some ancient Chinese words;the format of positive and negative questions has not been completely fixed;the mood particles at the end of sentences are changing and developing;non-interrogative functions are rich.At the same time,sooner or later the work is written,the content and subject matter are different,and the degree of polyphony of words will affect the use of interrogative sentences.In general,the later the book is written and the more spoken the content and subject matter is,the more deeply affected by polyphony,the more concise and flexible the language will be.
