| The cultural differences between countries lead to the differences of numeral culture in different countries.These differences often result in the failure of intercultural communication.The cross-cultural communication between China(the initiative country of “the Belt and Road”policy)and Kyrgyzstan(one of the countries along “the Belt and Road”)is becoming increasingly frequent.Based on the theoretical framework of cultural linguistics and crosscultural communication,this dissertation uses the methods of lexicographical observation,literature analysis,lexical and semantic analysis,and comparative analysis to collect research data;it then discusses the meaning of Chinese and Kyrgyz numerals and their ethnic and cultural characteristics respectively;on this basis the dissertation compares the differences and similarities in the numeral culture of the two countries,and finally discusses the causes giving rise to the differences and similarities of numeral culture between the two countries,focusing on the reasons for the differences.The results of this study may provide a knowledge reference framework for the harmonious development of cross-cultural exchanges between Chinese and Kyrgyz people.In addition,as a student of Chinese as a Second Language,the author endeavors to make a detailed discussion of the topic with a view to providing some teaching materials for Chinese as a Second Language,thereby making a little contribution to the development of Chinese International Education. |
