| With the development of information society,the research on critical thinking has gradually become an important topic and research hotspot in the field of education at home and abroad.Both the 2003 and 2017 edition of NECSSS put forward clear requirements for the change of senior high school English teachers’ beliefs,which urge senior high school English teachers to change their beliefs in order to adapt to the development of modern English education.Teachers’ educational reflection ability plays a vital role in the education and teaching ability and teachers’ professional development.It can be seen that critical reflection can promote the change of teachers’ ideas.This study aims to analyze the instructional design,classroom recording and teaching reflection copies of three senior high school English teachers.In this paper,through case analysis,the paper also discusses the application of critical reflection in the teaching practice of a national model high school,explores the ways of promoting the belief transformation of high school English teachers by critical reflection,and reveals the current situation of high school English teachers’ teaching concept and the role of critical reflection in teaching.It is found that,on the whole,the critical thinking of senior high school English teachers is at the middle level.It is also found that several teachers’ teaching ideas are gradually changing.Critical reflection played an important role in the transformation of teachers’ teaching concept.It is expected that this study can help teachers’ trainers realize the importance of cultivating teachers’ critical thinking,and help to improve the cultivation ability and development level of senior high school English teachers’ critical thinking.In addition,it is expected that this study can help teachers correctly understand their critical thinking ability,and realize the necessity and importance of the cultivation and development of critical thinking in the teaching process. |
