This study attempts to establish a visual connection between the National tide style and the music and dance elements of Dunhuang frescoes in the late Tang Dynasty, and combines the main style characteristics of National tide style with the value elements extracted from the music and dance scenes in the 156 caves of Dunhuang frescoes to produce a series of design works that not only retain the traditional connotation of Dunhuang but also conform to modern aesthetics. The article consists of an introduction and four chapters.First of all,the introduction mainly summarizes the research background of this topic, the relevant research status at home and abroad, the significance of the research and the research methods used in this paper.Secondly,by collecting and sorting out a large number of Chinese fashion style cases and combining relevant research basis, the origin and development of Chinese fashion style are clarified, the ambiguous design concept and style characteristics of Chinese fashion style are solved, and the connection and difference between Chinese fashion style and other similar styles are distinguished,so as to define its style boundary.Thirdly,by studying the overall composition, character modeling, color expression and other contents of the music and dance scene in Cave 156 of Dunhuang fresco, and taking"design application value" as the guide, the music and dance scene elements in Cave 156 of Dunhuang fresco are extracted and evaluated from three dimensions of subject matter, rules and style, and corresponding translation methods are proposed for different levels.Through different translation methods, elements are selected according to the path of"image-pattern-icon",so as to obtain the basic graph. From the first step, the basic atlas was substituted into the mainstream style characteristics of the National tide style, and then the derivative atlas with the National tide style was obtained.Derivative map should be integrated with three forms of language features:"traditional artistic characteristics","application value characteristics" and "popular visual characteristics",so as to meet the needs of modern design applications while retaining the traditional artistic characteristics of Dunhuang frescoes. Finally, the atlas is combined with brand and cultural and creative design, and the real meaning is to implement the traditional mural elements into the modern design.
