| Development is the eternal theme of human society.The traditional concept of development focuses on "how to develop" but ignores the fundamental problem of "what kind of development is good development".Development ethics is formed in the process of thinking deeply about this problem.As a social critical theorist and the most representative figure of Frankfurt School,although Marcuse did not explicitly make a systematic discussion on development ethics,his theory contains rich and profound thoughts on development ethics,which has important value and guidance for the healthy,green,comprehensive and sustainable development of today’s society.The research on Marcuse’s ethical thought on development starts from the formation of his thought,combs and analyzes the core content of Marcuse’s ethical thought on development from both positive and negative aspects,and on this basis elucidates the modern significance of Marcuse’s ethical thought on development.Like his social critical theory,the formation of Marcuse’s development ethics has a profound social and historical background and abundant theoretical sources.The rapid development of industrial civilization,the dominant position of bourgeois ideology,the dangerous social situation and the rise of human rights movement are the background of Marcuse’s time.He was influenced and inspired by Hegel’s negative dialectics,Marx’s alienated labor theory,Heidegger’s existentialism and Freud’s psychoanalysis theory.The display of Marcuse’s development ethics thought is first based on the analysis of the real social development,to reveal the spiritual pain,human distortion and development errors brought by his "one way",and to prove the necessity of the correction of development ethics for "one way" people and "one way" society from a critical and negative perspective.The positive construction of Marcuse’s development ethics reflects the logical structure and basic proposition of Marcuse’s development ethics,which takes "lust" as the psychological basis,the integration of instrumental rationality and value rationality as the methodological orientation,and the pursuit of "real happiness" as the ethical goal.In the era of peace and development,Marcuse’s development ethics has important theoretical significance and practical enlightenment for us to think deeply about the way of life that really belongs to human beings,seriously treat the ethical relationship between human beings and nature,and promote the green,comprehensive and coordinated development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Of course,Marcuse’s development ethics also has drawbacks of subjectivity and imagination,which need our critical understanding and reference. |
