Marcuse's "One-dimensional" Thought And Its Modern Enlightenment

Marcuse's "one-dimensional" thought stems from the criticism of the phenomenon of alienation in developed industrial societies,expresses his ideological appeal for the negation dimension,and also expresses Marcuse's pessimism about the personal destiny of the capitalist countries.Feelings and worries about the future of the technology society.Marcuse's "one-dimensional" thought has sharply criticized the irrational phenomenon of developed industrial society.This critical thought provides experience and lessons for the development of contemporary China.Based on Marcuse's "one-dimensional Man",this paper studies Marcuse's "one-dimensional" thinking and its implications for contemporary China from three chapters.The first chapter expounds the background of the formation of the "one-dimensional" idea,which is divided into two parts.The first part is the formation of the "one-dimensional" thought,which is sorted out from the background of the "one-dimensional" thought and the formation process.The second part is the theoretical origin of the "one-dimensional" thought,including Marx's.Alienation theory,Lukács' materialization theory and Freud's psychoanalysis.The second chapter focuses on the core content of the "one-dimensional" thinking,including the connotation of the "one-dimensional" thinking,the expression of the "one-dimensional" thinking,and the way to transcend the "one-dimensional" thinking.The limitation of the "ideal" thought stems from the exaggeration of science and technology and the failure to find a real revolutionary subject.The third chapter expounds the enlightenment of the "one-dimensional" thought to contemporary China,from the three aspects of contemporary people,contemporary society and socialism with Chinese characteristics.In In contemporary China,the study of the "one-dimensional" thinking still has important implications.The phenomenon of alienation in developed industrial societies is similar in the development of contemporary Chinese society,such as the excessive expansion of technology and the decline of human morality.Marcuse's critical thinking helps us to break through the shackles of social order,prevent the proliferation and excessive expansion of instrumental rationality,and build an ideological defense system against the intrusion of negative media into our new era society.Marcuse's criticism of capitalism also provides a mirror for the modernity of contemporary society.In the era of materialistic desires,the construction of human spirit and social spiritual civilization should be taken seriously.Therefore,the "one-dimensional" thinking reveals that we should maintain critical thinking,become a sound person of all-round development,and better serve the cause of socialist construction.
