Artistic Features And Singing Interpretation Of Richard Strauss’s Art Songs "Secret" And "Eternity"

As a German romantic composer at the end of the 19th century,Richard Strauss was quite accomplished in the creation of art songs,which had a profound impact on the creation of art songs in future generations.In his creation,on the one hand,he inherits the excellent traditions of Schubert and Schumann in harmony,melody and termination,on the other hand,he can combine the elegant mood with the rich and colorful drama of Wagner style to form his unique artistic personality.The two art songs "Secret" and "Eternity" were selected from a collection of art songs by Richard StraussOp.10,which was created in 1885.Through the analysis of the musical expression elements and singing skills of the two art songs "Secret" and "Eternity",this paper explores the artistic and singing characteristics of Richard Strauss’s early art songs collection,so that the singers can have a deeper understanding of this collection and perform it more perfectly.
