| Ceramics are a life symphony of clay and fire,with particular emphasis on decorative elements.Calligraphy is an art of brush and ink.It appears in the ceramic art with its fresh and elegant posture.It is often used as a decorative element.In terms of pen method,artistic conception,position and so on,it has the artistic effect that other art languages do not have.Although ceramics and calligraphy belong to two different art categories,they have a certain historical origin since ancient times.Their inner connection and interaction contributed to their combination.In China,the application of calligraphy in ceramics can be traced back to the birth of ancient characters,and now,calligraphy as a special symbol language,widely used in ceramic decoration,has become an elegant,unique form of expression.The development of this artistic achievement is the result of thousands of years of hard exploration by ceramic workers,showing the strong vitality of Chinese arts and crafts.This paper is divided into four parts,the first three parts are theoretical research.The first part tells the historical evolution of the combination of calligraphy and ceramics,analyzes the typical cases of ancient historical periods,and deduces the positive significance of the combination.The second part is to comb the creation method and expression form of calligraphy in ceramic art.The third part analyzes the inheritance and innovation of calligraphy in the contemporary ceramic comprehensive art creation through the cases.In the present age when time and cultural environment are irreversible,we must face up to this challenging topic.The last part is my practice of ceramic art works which based on the research of the former.I take calligraphy as the entry point,around different creation themes,and blend various creation methods to create different expressive effects of calligraphy in ceramic art creation,aiming to explore modern expression of calligraphy in ceramic art creation. |
