A Report On The C-E Translation Of "Research Of Spatial Spillover Effect Of Airport Economy On Regional Economic Growth From The Perspective Of Dual Circulation"

With the accelerating process of global economic integration,a large number of high-tech enterprises have gathered near large airports to form an airport economic belt.The airport economic belt plays a very important role in promoting the economic development of the region where the airport is located,makes a great contribution to the regional economic development,and effectively drives China’s economic and social development.Hence,it is necessary to study the translation of airport economic texts.Therefore,the translator chose to translate Professor Wang Haijie’s paper “Research of Spatial Spillover Effect of Airport Economy on Regional Economic Growth from the Perspective of Dual Circulation”,which was translated into English under the guidance of communicative translation theory,and summarized to form this translation practice report.Wang Haijie,the author of the paper “Research of Spatial Spillover Effect of Airport Economy on Regional Economic Growth from the Perspective of Dual Circulation”,is a professor of Business School of Zhengzhou University.Based on the perspective of the new development pattern of “Dual Circulation”,the source text analyzes the connotation and mechanism of the spatial spillover effect of airport economy on regional economic growth,selects the panel data of national airport economic demonstration zone and its city,makes an empirical test by using the Spatial Durbin Model（SDM）,enriches the relevant theoretical analysis and research methods of airport economy,which aims to reveal how airport economy affects regional economic growth,and provides reference for China’s airport economic development under the new development pattern of “Dual Circulation”,which is worthy of learning from personnel in relevant fields.According to the text typology theory of Katharina Reiss,the founder of German functional translation theory,the selected source text can be classified as informational text,because it attaches importance to information transmission.According to the relevant expositions of Peter Newmark,a well-known British translation theorist,the translation modes of semantic translation and communicative translation can be used in the translation of informative texts.Under the guidance of semantic translation,this paper accurately translates economic nouns;under the guidance of communicative translation,this paper replaces noun concepts,converts vocabulary order,adds sentence subjects and enhances sentence connection.The translator hopes that by translating the source text well,she can introduce the development experience of China’s airport economy to foreign countries,put these research results and summarized general experience into practice,and provide some references for those who are engaged in aviation text translation practice.The practice report is mainly divided into four parts.The first part introduces the background and significance of translation and the structure of the practice project.The second part discusses the whole translation process,including preparations before translation,difficulties encountered in the process of translation and post-translation proofreading.The third part makes a case study from the lexical,syntactic and textual levels under the guidance of text typology theory and combined with specific translation skills.The fourth part reflects on the translation practice,and summarizes the main achievements and shortcomings of the translation practice.
