A Report On The C-E Translation Of Development Index Report On China’s Civil Aviation(2020-2021)(Chapter 3-Chapter 4)

This is a practical report of C-E translation based on the third and fourth chapters of Development Index Report on China’s Civil Aviation(2020-2021),which was written by Professor Hao Aimin from Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics.The original text is divided into five parts,which objectively monitors and evaluates the development of aviation economy in China’s airport economic demonstration zones from different aspects,and shows the characteristics of regional aviation economic innovation and development in detail,which has certain reference significance for the industry.Based on Peter Newmark’s Text Typology,the source text is a typical informative text with detailed data,precise wording,accurate expression and concise language.Guided by Newmark’s Communicative Translation Theory,with the goal of “trying to make the effect of the translation on the target readers the same as that of the source readers”,the translator,with the help of different translation tools,starts from the lexical,syntactic and textual levels,and aims at different language characteristics and expression habits in English and Chinese,uses translation methods and skills such as addition,conversion and omission to study and solve the translation difficulties in the translation process,and accurately convey the original information.In this translation,the translator hopes to provide some ideas and methods for the English translation of such texts,and contribute to the cultural exchange in the field of aviation economy.
