A Comparative Study Of Zhuang Zi’s And Oscar Wilde’s Romantic Idea

Zhuang Zi and his disciples wrote Zhuang Zi,this work has more than ten thousand characters.This work is known as the treasure of ancient Chinese cultural classics,the essays in it are full of strange imagination and rich romantic color.Zhuang Zi contains rich philosophical and literary connotations and has influenced people in different historical periods.Oscar Wilde,as the epitome of aestheticism,has the shadow of romantic thought and has written many outstanding works in his life.Through careful study of their works,we can find that they have many similarities.This paper mainly analyzes the similarities of their romantic thoughts from the aspects of theme exploration,the subject matter,expression technique and so on,and finds that Zhuang Zi has a profound influence on Wilde.This paper mainly uses the the relevant theories and methods in the influence study of comparative literature,and compares Zhuang Zi and Wilde’s romantic thoughts.This paper analyzes the similarities between Zhuang Zi and Wilde’s works,"Soul of Man under Socialist System "," Portrait of Dorian Gray "," Princess of Spain’s Birthday ","Spring to Winter "," Reading Prison Song" and "Star Child",which is helpful to further analyze their romantic thoughts.At the same time,the literature analysis method is used to collect and organize the research works of Zhuang Zi and Wilde.Zhuang Zi and Wilde’s works contain rich romantic thoughts,and these include individualism,attention to the freedom of self-spirit,the value of life and the independence of personality.In the view of nature,the eager to return to nature and reach the realm of natural inaction.Both works involve nature and human society,nature mainly contains all things,human society mainly reveals that the people at the bottom are in deep trouble,but the rulers are in a high rack,and praise those who are physically disabled but still have noble virtue.they have the unlimited pursuit of beauty,in order to reveal the darkness of society,use extraordinary imagination and fable,and the fairy tale reasoning expression.Through the above comparison,we can find that Zhuang Zi has a great influence on Wilde,but Wilde has not fully inherited,and still maintains the artistic pursuit of aestheticism for art.Zhuang Zi and Wilde always maintain a high degree of spiritual independence when face the complexity of the world,maintain the freedom of spirit and pursuit free and easy life,this is worthy of generations to learn from it.Chinese and western cultural comparison is a part of international Chinese teaching and a necessary skill for international Chinese teachers.This research helps to spread Chinese culture,strengthen the soft power of Chinese culture,and promote the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.
