| Sui Xin Qu is a Yangqin solo piece composed by Xianglai Mu,chief composer of the China National Traditional Orchestra.In 2012,it is the first Yangqin music fused with western polyphony theory.The composer elaborated the vocabulary of traditional Chinese instruments while absorbing techniques and skills from western music;these distinct features are combined and presented in Sui Xin Qu.The scene of thriving spring is depicted in the work by the composer,praising the nature with his inner harmony.The author,as a graduate student majored in music performance,expects to analyze the music form of Sui Xin Qu in depth,in order to further expound the thoughts about performing skills and explore the contribution and value this work brought to the development of the Yangqin art in our days.To better understand the significance and connotation behind the song,the author interviewed Xianglai Mu in person.Related contents about this interview are presented in this article.This article is organized into four chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the context of the creation.In the chapter 2,the music form of Sui Xi Qu is analyzed.The chapter 3 is about the study of the work’s performance characteristics.In the chapter 4,the author emphasizes the significance of this work-it plays a crucial role in the development of contemporary art of the Yangqin.The author intends to utilize this information to comprehensively dissect the structure and performance skill of Sui Xin Qu,while explore the contribution of this work for the Yangqin art. |
