The Research On Zhang Daojun And The First Corpus Of Zhang Sili

Zhang Daojun（1594--1643）,a native of Douzhuang,Qinshui,Jincheng,Shanxi Province,was a famous patriotic military general,writer and weapon expert during the late Ming Dynasty.As a military genuine,he repeatedly made military achievements during the fight against Shanxi peasant rebels.As a litterateur,his literary were unanimously recognized by the litterateur of the same period.Zhang Daojun has a prominent family,his grandfather Zhang Wudian,and his father Zhang Quan even worked as the leader to the Ministry of Arms.At he first year of the Apocalypse,Zhang Quan died in Liaodong,Zhang Daojun inherited his father’title,as jin Yi Wei.Zhang Daojun’s illustrious family had an important influence on his growt.Zhang Daojun’s family is a famous cultural family in Shanxi Qinshui Basin.The anthology of Zhang Wudian and Zhang Quan and The First Corpus of Zhang Sili are important documents for studying the history and culture of Qinshui Basin.There were few historical records of Zhang’s life and his friends.By researching the records in The First Corpus of Zhang Sili and poems and articles written by other litterateur and comparing various historical materials,his track and association activities can be restored.Zhang’s life can be divided into two stages-the time before and after his banish from Haining Wei.During the time before his banishment from Haining Wei,Zhang Daojun was an important force fighting against peasant rebels in Ming Dynasty.After exiled from Haining Wei,Zhang Was able to make friends with a large number of litterateur,including historian Tan Qian,writer Wang Yi,painter Chen Hongshou and other famous literati.It is of great help for us to understand the history of the late Ming Dynasty and the literary group activities of Jiaxing in the late Ming Dynasty by means of researching Zhang Daojun in detail.The first Corpus of Zhang Sili is rich in content,with a total of 300,000 words,providing a wide description of politics,diplomacy,society,military,culture,academia and other aspects of the late Ming Dynasty.It is a corpus with a high literature value with three aspects.The bibliographic material value,biographical date value,historical value.The value of bibliographic material value lies in the preservation of the works of men.The value of historical materials lies in supplementing the inadequacy and correcting the errors of historical records,the historical geographical date value lies in the preservation of ancient place names and the geographical situation,natural environment characteristics and traffic conditions of the Beijing-Hebei region.Zhang Daojun’s literary works were highly praised by the literati community in Jiaxing during the late Ming Dynasty.Meanwhile,his literary works,especially poems,were the main part of The First Corpus of Zhang Sili.The author affirms his literary achievements in his poems and fu through readings.Zhang Daojun’s literary creation can be classified as retro-school,so we almost cannot find a parallel verse in his poems.He took the ancient poems of the Han and Wei dynasties and tang poems as the learning objects in his poetry creation.At the same time,Zhang’s poetics can be fond on several preludes in The First Corpus of Zhang Sili,which is helpful to researching Zhang’s literary creation tendency.Besides,studying Zhang’s literary achievements can be a great help for the understanding of literature in the late Ming Dynasty.
